Download the file on the device, then open it. Android will ask permission to install an app from outside the Play Store — allow it once and the install proceeds normally. The app is signed by UbuntuSoft, so future updates install over the top without losing anything.
Which municipality will it connect to?
Whichever one the agent's account belongs to. There is no separate build or setup per municipality — the app works out the right destination when the agent signs in.
Who can sign in?
Only accounts created by your municipality's administrator. If an agent does not have credentials yet, their administrator can add them from the web dashboard.
Is resident data safe on the device?
Yes. Captured documents and photographs are stored privately and are only accessible to authorised staff of that municipality, in line with POPIA. See our POPIA statement for detail.
